Viral sensation Skomota has cancelled all his bookings against the backdrop of his woes with his management. Skomota has been making headlines after his friend and road manager opened up about the star allegedly being exploited by Moruti wa Dikota.

Earlier this week, Skomota’s friend and road manager, Skhothane sa Pitori, exposed Moruti wa Dikota during a podcast interview.

SKOMOTA CANCELS ALL BOOKINGS AMID EXPLOITATION RUMOURS
In 2023, Skomota made headlines when he reportedly won a whopping R3 million from betting. However, the viral sensation went on to furnish his craze for entertainment as a bubbly host and performer.

He has been busy and booked, and his signature dance move has quickly become his trademark. However, against his big wins, he has cancelled all bookings because of management woes.

Skomota gave an update about his bookings in a video that has gained thousands of comments and reactions since it dropped. The trending video was also shared on X by MDN News.

The news blog posted, “Skomota has cancelled all his bookings until further notice. They say they are requesting Moruti Wa Dikota to appear before a meeting with them, along with Skomota’s family, to resolve the issues regarding his money.”

EXPLOITATION
However, the decision to suspend all bookings came after it was established that Skomota was allegedly being defrauded of money by his manager. Skhothane sa Pitori made the daring claims.

Skhothane sa Pitori revealed that Skomota had no bank account, and all his booking fees were being paid to Moruti wa Dikota’s account.
During his sit-and-tell interview, Skhothane sa Pitori pulled a shocker when he revealed that Skomota had made over R1 million in bookings. Surprisingly, he hasn’t had his fair share of his bookings. Against the trends, Dikota has yet to address the allegations.

The allegations have since undoubtedly implicated Skomota’s booking fees into the mix. Last year, the rumour mill said Skomota makes a whopping R545 000 monthly. However, a leaked WhatsApp chat earlier this year revealed that Skomota costs R90 000 to book.

Skomota has headlined several shows and has performed alongside some of South Africa’s finest, including multi-award-winning singer Makhadzi. He has performed at rallies just like those before him.

Apart from headlining shows, he has also made a considerable chunk of money from endorsements and club appearances. Skomota has also rubbed shoulders with several A-listers, including DJ Tira.
