Ratanang Malema, the first-born son of EFF leader Julius Malema put his best foot forward at his recent matric dance.
The 17-year-old attends the private Johannesburg school St David’s Marist Inanda, where he is completing his final year.
Ratanang is the son of the politician and his former partner Maropeng Ramohlale.
Julius has two other sons, Kopano and Munzhedzi, with his wife, Mantao.
RATANANG MALEMA TAKES MATRIC DANCE
In an Instagram post, Julius Malema gave his followers a look at his son Ratanang’s matric dance.
In one picture, Julius helps his mini-me put on his formal suit.
He captioned the endearing post: “I made the decision to become a father, and I have been putting in a lot of effort. Yesterday was a memorable and exciting experience. I had the pleasure of assisting my eldest son as he prepared for his matric dance and became his chauffeur.
He continued: “Our success is largely due to the fact that our ancestors never taught us to be envious, hateful or jealous.
“I am proud to say that the event was executed beautifully, and my son did an incredible job”.
In another clip, Ratananang is joined by his fellow classmates as well as his stunning partner, who wears a long flowing black gown. The group of teens pose for pics at a luxury mansion before heading off to the main event.
Ratanang and his hot date are transported to the function in a luxury Mercedes G-Wagon where they walk the red carpet together.
“Fresh, clean, class”, commented one follower of the young man. Another added: “Lowkey a real dripper”.

FOLLOWING IN HIS FATHER’S FOOTSTEPS?
Ratanang Malema is his father’s son in many ways. Not only do they look alike, but they also share the same hobby – DJing.
Julius has previously shared clips of his son on the decks, and it’s clear he has an ear for music.
Ratanang is also a natural-born leader like his father.
In another post, Julius shared how his son had been given the title of one of the warcry leaders at his school. In a video clip, the young man is seen boldly leading his peers in song.
He captioned the post: “Leadership begins with taking small steps. Always know that the journey of leadership is a gradual process built upon incremental actions, discipline, and resilience. Like his father, my son is commanding a battalion at school”.
