Ntsiki remembers Nelli Tembe amid new developments in AKA case

Over the last week, social media has been set alight with posts about slain rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes. This is after seven suspects were arrested in connection with his murder this week. The 35-year-old was shot and killed outside Wish restaurant in Durban on 10 February last year.

While many have shared their thoughts on the latest developments in the case, controversial poet and activist Ntsiki Mazwai has chosen to remember Anele “Nelli” Tembe.

Her post has sparked a fierce debate around AKA’s and Nelli’s deaths.

NTSIKI MAZWAI REMEMBERS ANELE TEMBE AS AKA’S MURDER CASE MOVES FORWARD
Ntsiki Mazwai has never been one to hold her tongue. The controversial poet has found herself in hot water a number of times but continues to share her thoughts and opinions on public platforms.

Last year, Ntsiki ruffled some feathers after sharing her thoughts on the passing of AKA.

Taking to her X page, Mazwai wrote that AKA’s death comes as a result of his late fiancee Nelli Tembe “fighting from her grave”.

She also added that Nelli – who died after allegedlly jumping from a Cape Town hotel window – had to fight for herself because people sucked up to celebs.

This week, the activist shared a tribute post to Anele after various reports revealed that seven suspects have been apprehended for AKA’s murder.

“You don’t know what he’s been doing to me”, wrote Ntsiki quoting what Anele had said about AKA before her death in 2021.

“We will always remember you, Anele Tembe … May your family find peace and forgiveness,” she wrote.
