‘I am disgusted by mugovernment,’ says Kelly Khumalo

Singer, actress and reality star Kelly Khumalo has lashed out at the “oldies in government” and wants them to step down in a video posted to her Instagram on 30 June.

The Life With Kelly Khumalo star took to Instagram in a fake Russian accent to vent her thoughts and frustrations with politicians whom she believes feel too entitled because they have fought for freedom in the country.

“You know, I usually having smile on my face in morning but not this day. I am disgusted! I am disgusted by mugovernment and mucupcake treating our country like its toilet paper, you just wipe your a** and put it and flush it in toilet,” said Khumalo.

She went on to say that it is time to get rid of those in power because they do not understand the meaning of service to the people.

“They will keep taking this money because they feel haha we fought for freedom therefore these people owe us,” she continued.

Kelly Khumalo posted the short clip to her 2.1 million Instagram followers and in under 24 hours racked up over 86 000 views and more than 10 000 likes, with many people supporting her in the comments section.

“If there was ever a time to fight, this is the time! We have been taken for granted for far too long, we have lost everything, friends and family members lost to this pandemic, jobs and businesses lost and yet we are still the ones to continue paying the price,” she wrote in the caption.

“What more do we need for us to see that it is not about us, it never was and never will be. Unless we fight to get out country and our freedom back. All the oldies in government must step down! Kugangwa ngathi manje ????,” she added.

The comments section of the video was filled with Khumalo’s followers showing support for her call to get rid of the entitled government officials.

The entrepreneur won an award at the prestigious 2020 SA Women’s Wine & Spirit Awards for her Gin brand called Controversy Gin in 2020. A few months later, the singer revealed that her relationship with alcohol is doomed and she is considering quitting for good.
