Zimbabwean business tycoon Sir Wicknell Chivayo is trending after adding a 2024 Mercedes-Benz Maybach S680 to his impressive car collection that boasts some of the world’s expensive cars, including a 2024 Rolls-Royce Spectre.
No doubt he lives lavishly and is unapologetic about it.

Over the years, he has made headlines with his spending sprees and has been dubbed one of the richest business moguls in Zimbabwe and Africa. Barely a day after blessing his immediate family with cars, he took to social media to show off his new acquisition, a new 2024 Maybach S680.
He bought his children a new Mercedes-Benz GLC300d for their school run. Chivayo also gifted his brother a new Mercedes-Benz C200.
Taking to Instagram, Wicknell Chivayo posted, “MADZIBABA…2024 MERCEDES BENZ S680 MAYBACH V12…If you have 6 Million rands to spare, please go and get one for yourself…You won’t be disappointed…NDICHA RAMBA NDICHI PISA.”
Photos and videos of the sleek German beast have gained thousands of comments and reactions since they dropped on the internet. Fans were quick to flood his comments section with congratulatory comments, while others begged the tycoon to gift them with cars.
Since last year, he has gifted several Zimbabweans with cars, and this has quickly become his signature. Some stars who have received cars from the Wicknell Chivayo include Jah Prayzah, Sungura maestro Aleck Macheso and Suluman Chimbetu.
This is seemingly Wicknell Chivayo’s second Maybach purchase this year. He splurged R7.5 million in January on a sleek customised Mercedes-Benz Maybach S680.
However, confirmed reports have it that his new purchase has a base price tag of R6 million. After all, it seems Wicknell Chivayo has a soft spot for Mercedes-Benzs.
Some of his flashiest Mercs include an R9.5 million 2023 Mercedes-Benz G63 Brabus, an R7 million Mercedes-Benz Maybach GLS600 and two Mercedes-Benz Maybach S680s.
However, against the purchase, his fans were more than convinced that it might be the latest addition to his impressive fleet in South Africa because of the car’s ‘colour.’

Surprisingly, he has two impressive fleets, one in Zimbabwe, which only has white cars. However, his fleet in South Africa is made up of ‘black cars’ only. Some of the cars Wicknell Chivayo has bought since 2023 include:
