Comedian Tumi Morake secures role in ‘Ha Molefi’

Actress and TV personality Tumi Morake will star alongside Dingaan Khumalo and Ray Buso in Mzansi Magic’s upcoming drama series, Ha Molefi.

TUMI MORAKE: LATEST CHARACTER
Entertainment commentator Mlu reports that the comedian and actress Tumi Morake has joined the drama series.

She will act alongside musician and Muvhango actor Dingaan Khumalo who will portray the lead role of Ntate Molefi.

The show focuses on Khumalo’s character who is grieving the loss of his wife, Mam’Linda. He is set off on a journey of discovery that lays bare their fears and hopes while honoring Mam’Linda’s memory.


 

The show will also star TJ Mokhuane, who portrays Ntate Molefi’s son, Thabang Molefi, a queer teenager from Pimville, Soweto, who has just lost his mother, Mam’ Linda. He is on a journey of healing and self-discovery.

TVSA reports that Morake is famously known for her TV roles in City Sesla, Black Tax, High Rollers, The Queen and many more.

BACKGROUND OF ‘HA MOLEFI’
Mzansi Magic reports that Ha Molefi is a drama series about a father and son grieving the loss of a mother and wife, forcing them to deal directly with the complexities of their relationship.

Shirley Adonisi, Director of Local Entertainment Channels reveals in a statement: “Ha Molefi is an emotional story about a relationship between a grieving father and son. Focusing on the raw and honest emotional turmoil that both face, especially concerning the son’s identity.”

The youthful drama series will premiere on DStv (channel 161) on Monday 17 June.
