‘New club, new surroundings’: Khama Billiat’s photo in Yadah FC’s kit trends

Yadah FC’s new signing, Khama Billiat, has since joined the rest of the squad ahead of the new Castle Premier League season. Khama Billiat joined Yadah FC after struggling to find a new home in the DStv Premier League.

He undoubtedly pulled a shocker when he dumped Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs in the eleventh hour.

However, after months on the sidelines, the 33-year-old star is set to play competitive football again in his home country. Khama Billiat star is trending after his photo wearing Yadah FC’s jersey made rounds online.

The -viral photo has flooded social media, with many flooding their feeds with their two cents.

Celebrated sports journalist Austin Ditlhobolo also shared the photo and captioned it, “New club, new surroundings, new hairstyle! Khama Billiat, just before his first training session with Yadah FC.”

Khama was wearing a red and white Nike kit in the now-viral photo. Some took a swipe at the kit and gave it a thumbs down, while others gave it a nod.

Khama Billiat became the highest-paid Castle Larger Premier League star with his move to Yadah FC. The star earns a base salary of R95 000. Reports have it that he was given R380 000 as a signing-on fee. However, his salary is less than what Kaizer Chiefs proposed.

Kaizer Cheifs reportedly offered him a monthly base salary of around R450 000. The R450k was a 60% pay cut from the rumoured R800 000 salary.

Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates star Kudakwashe Mahachi also returned home after a dramatic stint in West Africa. Mahachi sealed his move to Manica Diamond over the weekend, joining Khama Billiat in the Castle Larger Premier League.
