All you need to know about renowned presenter Bonang Matheba’s

Radio and TV personality Bonang Matheba has, over the years, become discreet where her love life is involved.

In the past, the House of BNG sparkling wine owner was publically involved with Skwatta Kamp rapper, Slikour; late hip hop artist, AKA; Nigerian musician, D’banj; and DJ Euphonik.

Unconfirmed reports also linked her to rapper, DA L.E.S; one half of Major League DJz, Banele Mbere; Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune; and former Chiefs star, Simphiwe Tshabalala.


 

According to Zimoja, the businesswoman is dating again and she told the publication that she is smitten

“We’ve been together for a few months now and he’s my soulmate. My life supporter. I love him,” she was quoted as saying, but refused to give a name.

However, sources have revealed that the man who stole Bonang’s heart is David Phume.

“Their romance became clear when they started spending time together about six months ago and they have been going strong,” said one source.

Another source said that Bonang is often spotted in Sandhurst at one of Phume’s many properties.

1. He is 41 years old – there is a five-year age gap between the alleged couple, as Bonang is 36 years old this year.

2. A businessman – according to BizCommunity, in 2005, Phume founded his award-winning broadcast design and animation studio company called Penthouse Motion Pictures which deals with short-form media such as from commercials and motion graphics. His other company, Cake Media, deals with long-form content.

3. Phume is a TV producer – he is the producer of The Braai Show with AKA which later changed to The Braai Show with Cass when the late Company hitmaker was dropped.

4. A technologist and roboticist – Phume studied 3D animation at Boston Media House in Johannesburg, before graduating from a San Francisco-based animation school. He went on to study robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Phume co-founded a company called Blackchain, which identifies problems in Africa and finds solutions through technology. He also owns another company called Afrobotics.
