South African musician turned businessman DJ Sbu just headed online to show his support for natural hair and dreadlocks. This comes after the trending story of the young Midrand student who was kicked out of school for allegedly wearing dreadlocks. After returning to the premises with her parent, she was shoved by the principal’s husband.

While Sbu didn’t make mention of the incident, many in the comment section praised him for embracing his natural hair and encouraging others to do the same.

While introducing the Bazokhuluma singer on stage, he said: “Please make some noise and welcome my sister that I love with all my heart. I love this woman. This woman stood for me when I couldn’t stand, stood with me when I couldn’t stand, and I will stand with her no matter what.”

Somizi has also reassured his fans that Kelly would still be performing at his show titled Shades of Pink at Emperors Palace in Ekurhuleni on 19 August.This comes as the Empini hitmaker continuously faces backlash amid the rebooted Senzo Meyiwa murder trial which will enter its sixth week on Monday, 21 August, at the North Gauteng High Court.

Charity and Katlego Mokgokoloshi’s mother and grandmother is 83-year-old actress Lydia Mokgokoloshi, aka Koko Mantsha on Skeem Saam. She was one of five siblings while growing up. Her mother was the primary breadwinner of the family because her father was blind.

Lydia and her late husband had one son, whom she characterizes as calm in that he wouldn’t hurt a fly. The son also passed away in 2003.

Have you ever heard someone say, “I’m my mother’s daughter”, well South African influencer Snikiwe Mhlongo and her mother actress Brenda Mhlongo have taken that phrase to a whole new level. Snikiwe’s resemblance to her mother is uncanny.

In a new post to her Instagram the digital content creator shared a picture of herself together with her mom. The mother-daughter duo looked nothing short of amazing.

Both dressed in Black, Snikiwe and Brenda attended the L’Oréal Paris event that was hosted to celebrate the brands new Sub-Saharan Ambassador, Thuso Mbedu.
