Somizi has a lot of trouble. Companies and people alike have cut ties with him because of his controversial views. Somizi Mhlongo is a performer and choreographer. He was a judge on Sarafina and Idols SA before allegations of abuse forced him from the shows.

After hearing the allegations of abuse made by Somizi’s ex-husband, several companies have distanced themselves from him. Unathi, judge of the Idols, unfollowed Somizi and said they weren’t friends. People felt terrible for Somizi and thought he really needed their support.


 

 

Somizi is no stranger to terrifying situations. Somizi has an incurable condition; doctors gave him a month to live in 1999, yet he managed to make it that far.

Saying, “If I can survive this, nothing in the world will be too hard for me,” he went on to prove himself right. Because of a permanent condition, his daughter’s legs develop at different rates. Lymphedema is the name for this condition.

How Somizi and his daughter manage

Somizi chose to maintain an upbeat demeanour despite his negative emotions. He attributes his current good health to therapy and the conviction that he can overcome cancer.

His daughter had to come to terms with her illness and learn to live with it publicly. Neither her famed father Somizi nor her illness prevented her from succeeding.

He’s been accused of sexual assault but has fought to clear his name.

Somizi doesn’t give a damn. If he makes it through this, then he can conquer any challenge.
