Gcina Nkosi is a multi talented multi award winning legendary actress from KwaZulu. She is a prolific performer a great storyteller. She portrays the character of Zinzile Ngena a well behaved African woman a mother of two , who works as a domestic worker on ETV soapie Scandal. She has portrayed Zinzile for over a decade and has become very much popular among fans over the years.

 

 

 

 

 

She has appeared on several television shows which include Generations The Legacy were she played the character of MaKhumalo. Gcina also made an appearance on Side Dish portraying the character of Vero. She made cameo appearance on The Executives , eHostela , Umkhokha among many other productions. I honestly think Gcina is one of the best actresses we have in South Africa at the moment. Her success is a result of hardwork she put up through the years , and her contributions should be recognized.

She is simply the best but I think she is a bit underrated she doesn’t receive much credit she deserves. Im sure those who have been following Scandal would agree with me. Gcina Nkosi has contributed so much to the South African film and arts industry , she deserves to be honoured in many ways than one , a life time archivement award to begin with. Let’s appreciate our heroes and give them their flowers while they live. The film makers should also should give her more leading roles , they should utilize her talents.
