Bad news | One of SABC’s Presenters is leaving

Many changes continued to happen in the entertainment industry especially the radio side with more and more presenters leaving and some coming in.

Motshidisi Mohono is a South African media personality known for being a reporter, presenter and commentator. Many know her from Supersport whereby she appeared as a sports commentator. Mohono is also popular known from Metro FM and for having been a voice over artist. She started her journey while still studying at UJFM then moved to YFM. Mohono has done a good job while being in the entertainment industry, she even received a Sports Journalist Award of the year. Motshidisi is unfortunately leaving R2000 as a Game Time presenter.

Announcing news that she is leaving, Motshidisi Mohono said “I have parted ways with Radio 2000 as the host of Game Time with Motshidisi Mohono. My last show will be on Friday, 31 March from 18:00 to 19:00”.

“It has been an absolute honour to serve sport lovers through my show. Thank you to management at Radio 2000 and SABC sport for giving me the platform to do what i love”.

SABC Sport General Manager being Keletso Totlhanyo speaking on Mohono leaving SABC said “The SABC would like to wish Ms Mohono well in her future endeavors and would like to thank her for keeping our sports audience entertained, informed and educated”.

It has been over a decade since she joined the entertainment industry since she started in 2011. It is now time for her to move to other things and also open a space of learning for someone else who will be taking over on her show.

It is sad to see these presenters leaving the shows they used to present but when it is time for new people, then it is time for new people to come in so that they can also learn and grow their careers in the entertainment industry.
