Mampintsha passed away on the 24th of December 2022 after suffering from stroke from the other week.
Tensions were visibly high in the front row at the memorial service of award-winning musician Mandla ‘Mampintsha’ Maphumulo as his mother sat a few seats away from his widow and artist Bongekile ‘Babes Wodumo’ Simelane.
This is not for the first time the two didn’t see eye to eye because even when the pair get married, Mampintsha’s mother was not happy.
The International Convention Centre in Durban fell silent on Friday when Babes Wodumo stood up to pay tribute to her husband Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo and told his mother she “forgives” her.
