Polygamy is something I have always been staunchly against. It is a system that truly doesn’t benefit anyone at all. It causes tension and even heartbreak. Of course this means I feel the same about polyandry, or at least, when it is done Gogo Skhotheni’s way.

She introduced us to her second husband and it was… jarring.

Tumi aka Gogo Skhotheni is a sangoma who recently got her own reality television show on Moja Love. One would think at a glance it would be a show about teaching people more about being a traditional healer and such, it is definitely not like that. The main story has been her polyandry quest.

 

 

 

She finally introduced this “ancestor chosen” man and it was just her ex from high school (red flag🚩). He was also quite close to her husband (yet another red flag🚩) and he seemed comfortable with the idea of being a little bride in this marriage and taking Tumi’s last name(the hugest red flag🚩)

People had strong opinions about this man and his intentions and quite frankly so did I.
