It is always a good thing to thank a person while they are still alive, so that they can see for themselves being appreciated.

A legendary radio presenter, Linda Sbiya affectionately known as Mr Magic, who made name for himself working at the SABC radio station, Ukhozi FM is undoubtedly one of the best and has influenced many aspiring radio presenters.

 

Linda Sbiya played a vital role in shaping many people’s radio careers and one of them is the award-winning Ukhozi FM presenter, Khathide ‘Tshathugodo’ Ngobe.

Ngobe, who is the best radio personality award winner, got honoured at the Impucuzeko maskandi festival for the role he had in developing traditional music on radio.

The event organisers honoured Tshatha for the role he played in maskandi music through his influence on radio. Instead of taking the glory to himself, Ngobe decided to shift the spotlight away from him and gave the flowers to Linda Sbiya, thanking him for being present when he is receiving this honour.

Ngobe took to Instagram and shared about the role Mr Magic played in his career on radio and how grateful he is to be honoured in the presence of someone he looked up to.

Needless to say, Sibiya indeed is Tshatha’s role model and it is such a wonderful thing for him to be present on such a wonderful moment of honour.
