DUDUZANE REGARDING HIS DAD’S HEALTH

Jacob Zuma received a 15-month prison term for contempt of court last year, but on September 5 of that same year, he was released on medical parole. Due to his failing health, he is currently doing the remaining portion of his sentence at home.

Duduzane reacted to DJ Sbu’s inquiry on his father’s current physical condition as follows:

“First of all, he’s 80. The man is elderly. He is a senior. And people romanticize him by imagining him to be the same man he was at 60 or 40.

Duduzane said, “An 80-year-old will have more complicated health conditions than usual, and it has been established that he is diabetic and needs that degree of care.

However, he said, his father is in good physical condition and appears youthful.

I WAS SHOCKED

Duduzane described the detention of Jacob Zuma as a “weird phenomena” because his father had previously been detained on Robben Island in 1963 under the apartheid regime.

He must have found being locked up in a prison cell in 2021 to be an odd experience. At 80, he has diabetes. locked up on Robben Island in 1961 and in 2021. Politics at the highest levels to sitting on concrete.

Duduzane responded, “I was quite unhappy with it,” when DJ Sbu enquired how the arrest had affected him.

“It’s pretty easy for me. They have been accusing him of whatever they have been accusing him of, and he has used his legal strategies and methods to respond appropriately.

Duduzane declared that it was inappropriate to imprison an 80-year-old man for legalistic nonsense.

JACOB ZUMA TRIAL IS RESCHEDULED

On Monday, August 1, Jacob Zuma’s corruption trial went back to court, but he wasn’t there. However, Judge Piet Koen postponed the case until October 17 so that the Constitutional Court could rule on his most recent legal attempt to get Billy Downer fired as his prosecutor, according to the IOL.

The judge added that this date was a holding one pending when the Constitutional Court will convene and the results of its proceedings. The judge scheduled a provincial trial for November 7, subject to Zuma’s appeal’s outcome as well.
