As Mzansi and the world are still trying to come to terms with death Riky Rick, another celebrated South African musician, has died. In the wake of Riky Rick’s funeral, confirmed reports from several sources have it that DJ Dimplez has died.

Rumour mill has it that the award-winning musician died earlier today at his home. Sources have it that he collapsed and died. The news has since flooded on social media, and several celebrities have shared cryptic tweets to express their sadness as the family is yet to confirm the news. Close friends and fellow industry mates have since shared the news on their social media platforms. However, it comes as a shock as the star singer was well and not reported sick.

What comes as a shocker is that DJ Dimplez and Riky Rick were close friends. He had his shot fame back in 2013 and 14 when he was nominated for Music Video of the Year at the South African Music Awards. The celebrated DJ died at the age of 28.

Like those before him, he discovered his craze of DJ whilst he was young. In 2003 he decided to furnish his skills when he bought equipment to harness his talent. He later joined the Wits DJ association. Since then, he was winning big up until the time of his untimely death.

The late DJ managed to cap his career with several lifetime accolades with an illustrious career spanning years. No doubt his performances at The Apprentice SA Finale and Blacks Only Comedy will go down in the history books as some of the best performances in history. He was also privileged to work with some of Mzansi’s finest, DJ Fresh, DJ Cleo, DJ Oskido, DJ S’bu, and Black Coffee.

South Africa has been having very bad news about celebrities in the past few months of 2022. Since the year began the country saw more than 3 famous personalities and celebrities die. Of course they all died of different reasons and told them with suicides. And now it has been reported that another famous South African celebrity has passed on on Sunday the 6th of March. This time around the famous celebrity is a DJ.

According to reports close friends have reported that DJ dimplez has passed on. As usual it all started with celebrities posting broken hearts on social media without saying anything. Usually this patterns means that celebrities have been notified that someone has died and they do not want to spread the news until the family has released an official statement.

One of the people who were also informed recklessly told someone who later posted the identity of the person who has passed on. It was said that the person who has passed on who is DJ dimplez who died of unknown causes at the moment. The cause of death has not been revealed only the fact that he passed on is being reported.

Many South Africans are finding it hard to digest fact that celebrities are slowly dying each and every day. Even though that is a natural thing when these many famous people die in such short separation causes a stir amongst the public. The country is still waiting for a full report on what happened to the DJ but for now it has only been reported that his dead. The real confirmation will be when an official statement is released by the family or his company.

If you didn’t know, we are officially on season 8 of Uzalo. The first episode of season 8 was met with mixed reviews.

The first episode of this season aired on Friday, March the 4th. Firstly we jumped three months from the last episode of season 7, which was a little unsettling to many. Immediately a new character was introduced; the guy was attempting to hijack a truck.

We were taken through a big car chase, and then Vika, the new character played by Siyabonga Radebe, appeared in the window of the truck with a toy gun; to cut a long story short, the attempt failed dismally. Vika is Njinji Magwazas nephew, the character of Njinji will be portrayed by Thembi Nyandeni. Njinji is out to dethrone Nkunzebomvu Mhlongo. I felt that this scene could have been executed better; what do you think?

Uzalo Season 8 premiere review

Gabisile has now started a new adventure as a magazine columnist. She writes for a magazine called Hope as a guest writer. That is good and well, but why did she lose it when Hlelo accidentally poured tea over it?

Gabisile attracted an unexpected tongue-lash from Hlelo. Hlelo went in hard for her. She reminded Gabisile of her sins when Gabisile tried to take the moral high ground. We all know what Gabisile did to Hlelo and why she doesn’t just buy another magazine. Hlela has been waiting for an opportunity to give Gabisile a piece of her mind, and boy did she give it to her.

Mbatha has gone ahead with launching KFC ( Khethukuthula Family Church). He set the church up in a classroom in KwaMashu. He commits daylight robbery and collects money using a speed point machine from the two churchgoers. The only thing that is clear here is that Mbatha is still a wolf hiding in sheepskin. He is a comic relief we needed. That’s it for that episode.

The hijack turns deadly as Vika turns the tables on the police. Vika flips the script on the police, and we see him shooting them instead. A physical scuffle ensued, and apparently, one of the police will die. Man, I hope it’s not Lilly. That’s all that I am saying.

KFC is already in debt, and Mbatha enlists the help of an interior decorator? Mbatha has not even started to make money at KFC, but he is already hiring decorators to upgrade the class he holds his church services in. Ok. I’ll leave it here for now. Seriously. Someone is following Nkunzis’ every move. There is a man seen tailing his car with a gun. The man is taking instructions from someone on the phone. The instruction is clear to end up taking Nkunzi out.

Hlela’s visit to Sbus’ grandmother turns out to be very disturbing. Firstly Hlela finds out Gogo has a severe heart condition and she needs Sbu, but Sbu is serving time, and Gogo thinks Hlela is someone called Tholakele. Nonka gives Pastor Gwala an earful. She finds him at her home and rips into him, accusing him of being obsessed with Sibonelo and costing them the distillery in the process. I have to say Pastor Gwala did go a little crazy. I mean, he almost died himself, twice.

An inmate will be leaving prison soon; who do you think it is? Sbu, Njeza, or one of the new characters? Sbu said Nkunzi would pull some strings and get him out after three months. We are just going to have to wait and see.

We are close to that time of the year where most radio station are changing their on air lineup the stations such as Community Radio stations , commercial radio stations , public broadcasters even online radio stations.

The radio stations that’s are expected to do some changes are the SABC stations such as Ukhozi FM, Metro FM, Lotus FM, Five FM, Ligwalagwala FM, Tru FM, Umhlobo Wenene FM and others .

Good news to the fans of the SABC commercial broadcaster Metro FM as the station will welcome Thabo well known as T Bo Touch in the entertainment industry. Touch left Metro FM six years ago after he didn’t have the agreement with the SABC. Touch hosted breakfast show at the station and moved to the afternoon drive slot.

According to the source, Touch is expected to return on radio on the 1st of April 2022. It not clear yet which show is he going to host at Metro FM .
