He went on to say that doctors told his family he was brain dead because his condition was so bad, so they opted to switch off his life support.

When a person on an artificial life support machine no longer has any brain functions, they are said to have died of brain death. This means they will not be able to regain consciousness or breathe without assistance. A person who is brain dead has been legally declared dead.
Making the decision to turn off life-supporting machinery is one of the most difficult things a person will ever face, and there is always the hope that your loved ones may wake up one day.
It’s also difficult to live with the guilt of turning off life-sustaining machines, which makes you feel like you’re the one who has killed your loved one.
Some people feel that we should let nature take its course and not interfere with someone’s death, even if they are already legally dead.
We must recognize the financial and emotional toll of artificially keeping someone alive. We should learn to let go when the time has come and not hold on to false hope.

This comes after Etv earlier on Friday announced that the much popular Imbewu will be moving from it’s current time slot of 9:30PM to an earlier time slot of 9PM, this changes will take place from the 11th of April. When it came to the 9PM time slot Mzansi magic soapie The Queen used to own the this time slot, but now that The Queen has lost it’s viewer’s and will be coming to an end in January next year, the imbewu team must have seen an opportunity to claim that slot. But that won’t be easy because Muvhango has long been on the 9PM time slot for year’s and won’t back down without a fight.
Muvhango which at one stage lost a lot of viewer’s and was once reduced to three episodes per week and at once it was rumoured that the soapie was gonna be shut down, but has since turned things around and it’s viewer’s have increased. For Imbewu though they should hope that this doesn’t backfire badly for them, because they have viewer’s who watch Muvhango and now that they will be playing at the same time, they should hope most viewers don’t choose to watch Muvhango.
