Actor and performer Patrick Shai was buried on Saturday in a fitting send off in a ceremony that started at his Soweto home on Saturday morning. His family was joined by hundreds mourners at the Soweto Theatre for his formal funeral service. Shai dies on the 22nd of January 2022 at his house in Soweto. He apparently killed himself by hanging inside his garage, he was reportedly discovered by his wife, who unhung him and put him on the floor while waiting for the authorities to arrive.

 

 

Mouner after mouner, they all spoke well about the late Shai, who had recently received backlash on social media after he dared a fight with rapper Cassper Nyovest. He swore at the rapper and his mom, but this didn’t go down well with people. His family has gone out to fight to clear his name, asking South Africans to be more compassionate to the now fallen star.

Meanwhile, his tombstone has had many talking again, they had questioned the price for his rather pricey tombstone, also asking about its necessity. Twitter was left asking if the family needed to spend these big bucks on the coffin, while some have applauded the family for honouring the man.
