Nkosinathi Maphalala is South African entertainer who is professionally addressed as Nay Maps. He is a multi proficient individual who is popularly recognised for his contribution on most television soapies like Uzalo as Mxolisi Mdletshe. He was born on the 30th of March 1989 in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa.

He attended his primary school at Sunnyside primary school and secondary at Lyttelton Manor high school. After completing his secondary studies he continued with his tertiary education at University of Pretoria where he studied Information Technology, Programming and software. He is also passionate about music and hopes to make it in the music industry.

He rose to fame on TV when he was presenting on the lifestyle show, Hashtag. He then landed a role on Isibaya telenovela drama collection on Mzansi Magic as Tshepo. Ever since then it has always been one way of success for Maphalala.
