The Thabo Bester saga continues and we know that those who are accused of having him escape from prison have been applying for bail and they are about to hear their fate whether they will be granted bail or denied. Dr Nandipha is the only accused that has not applied for any bail because she seems to believe that her arrest was unlawful in Tanzania, and how she was brought back into the country was unlawful and as such she has made an urgent application to the court so that she can be released from custody.

The accused, who are charged with aiding and abetting Bester include four former G4S employees and one person who was a technician for the IT company that was responsible for installing CCTV cameras at the prison facility. They’re facing charges of arson, fraud, defeating the ends of justice and aiding and abetting an inmate.

They are accused of facilitating the Facebook rapist and murderer’s escape from the Mangaung Correctional Centre last year.

Closing arguments in the applications were heard last week.

On Monday, Magistrate Mohlolo Khabisi is anticipated to rule on the bail requests of five defendants in the convicted murderer and rapist Thabo Bester’s jail break.

The defendants, who are accused of encouraging Bester, will show up in court in Bloemfontein. Four of them were once employed by G4S, and one was a technician for the IT firm in charge of setting up the CCTV cameras at the Mangaung Correctional Center.

Is Somizi Mhlongo missing any particular brands? After seeing Somizi Mhlongo in Nike gear for the first time, Mzansi was suitably impressed. There has been a flurry of activity on Somizi’s timeline since he posted a photo of himself showing off the black tights he was wearing. The tights, it seems, are a Nike product.
