Moja Love reality show Dloz’lami host Thembi Nyathi has won a lawsuit against sangoma Thabo Makhepula. Makhepula, known as Babamkhulu has been ordered by the South Gauteng High Court to stop spreading false information about Nyathi on social media.
Nyathi is famous for helping people communicate with their ancestors on her popular reality show. Her work on the show has been praised by many, as she offers a unique and valuable service to those who seek it with her ability to connect people with their loved once who have since passed. Makhepula had been making videos and swearing at Nyathi defaming her character and questioning her reputation. However, justice prevailed in court when Makhepula was ordered to issue a public apology, pay Nyathi’s legal fees and retract all defamatory statements. Nyathi said, “Going through the legal process was challenging, but the verdict of the lawsuit demonstrates that justice has been served. This serves as a lesson to everyone that you cannot defame people and think you will get away with it. People should be mindful of the impact their words can have on others.
