I feel like LaConco goes through her days thinking about Thobile. If she is not trashing her, she is getting mad that she refused to drink her traditional beer.

Okay, so backstory. LaConco held a ceremony for the maiden girls to empower them to hold on to their virginity and soar to the sky in independence.

I think an important part of the event was the sipping of the traditional sorghum beer aka Umnqombothi. LaConco wanted the ladies to taste the beer that she prepared from scratch but even more important, was for Thobile to sip. Why? I think because she is also a somewhat traditional woman who has refined taste buds for Umnqombothi. She may have thought that Thobile will be impressed in knowing that she can make exceptional sorghum beer.

But, Thobile was not the only one who did not sip the beer. She even excused herself and explained that she could not drink because of persistent heartburn.

It was quite spicy and unnecessary for LaConco to then make a fuss about Thobile when she not only explained why she couldn’t drink the beer, but was not the only one to not take a sip.

LaConco needs to stop overthinking everything that involves Thobile. Thobile had no reason to be spicy towards her, even when LaConco has been nothing but a pest to her.
