Q&A WITH ‘LONGEST SERVING-HOUSEWIFE IN AFRICA’
You are the longest-serving housewife in Africa. Many have watched you on screen from Real Housewives of Durban season one right up until season four, and now Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. You have of course grown so much since the beginning. What has your healing journey been like?
Huge change. I love the girl I am. Definitely have grown tougher and not meaner. I’ve also learned to trust the process and acknowledge every point I’m at, whatever I’m facing, as I have realised that healing takes time, It doesn’t happen over night. Also my relationship with God has made all the difference.
Do you have any coping mechanisms or tips for anyone else looking to heal?
For me as a way of coping is to be not in denial. Acknowledge where you are and accept that it’s a process. Internalise a lot, talk about it to people you trust and pray without ceasing. Prayer definitely changes things.
From the first episode, it seems you and LaConco got off to a rough start. Does your friendship grow throughout the show?
The show is entertaining throughout. People are just gonna be blown away about how things will unfold between us…
As soon as you entered the villa, the two guys waiting upon your arrival already seemed to be gushing over you. You look great, how do you learn to boost your self-confidence?
I’ve never felt more beautiful and content like I do now, this show, from production to the cast and holiday itself has been so mind blowing. I came to the show with the right attitude..to enjoy and have fun. And because of that attitude internally it’s exuded my external self and made me glow like I did.
Any tips for ladies who want to be and feel as confident as you do?
Love yourself first. If there’s something you do not like about yourself, change it. Start by discipline, change your diet, exercise and if you can afford to do plastic surgery do it! Nothing wrong with enhancing your beauty. You live once
