Talented actor JT Medupe who plays Leeroy in Smoke and Mirrors says he’s not leaving the show.
LEEROY IS NOT LEAVING ‘SMOKE AND MIRRORS’
The former Generations: The Legacy JT Medupe took to X to rubbish reports that his Smoke and Mirrors character has been written out.
A Smoke and Mirrors fan @dima_onzima asked the show: “Is it true that you’re also getting rid of Leeroy soon?”
The actor @jtmedupe replied: “Sorry to disappoint you but it’s not true.”
Medupe portrays a gay character, Leeroy who was engaged to Mtheto (Kabomo Vilakazi) in the popular e.tv telenovela.
Mthetho exited the show on Friday, 12 April at the end of season one on Thandiswa and Caesar’s wedding day.
Vilakazi’s character was a police officer in the fictional town called Emnyameni. Actors Kabomo Vilakazi who played Mthetho left the show while Zolisa Xaluva who played Caesar got replaced by Hlomla Dandala.
Xaluva who played the first Caesar has secured a role in Mzansi Magic’s crime drama series, Code 13 as Detective Bheki Ndlovu.

The Smoke and Mirrors star JT Medupe is also famously known for his role as Jonathan Motene in SABC1’s Generations: The Legacy.
Medupe was also a presenter in SABC1’s kiddies show YoTV and SABC1’s legal drama Sokhulu & Partners as Tebogo Mxotwa.
TVSA reports that the actor and TV presenter also secured a role in Mzansi Magic drama series Rockville as Mdu.
The TV personality and actor also portrayed the role of Siyabonga in S3’s canned soapie, Isidingo.reports that the Smoke and Mirrors actor JT Medupe married his Generations: The Legacy co-star Lebohang Mthunzi.
Medupe and Mthunzi portrayed siblings Angela Mogale and Jonathan Motene in the SABC1 soapie.
Their parents were well-known characters Tau Mogale and Julia Motene. Tau is played by legendary actor Rapulana Seiphemo who still makes appearances on the show. The role of Julia was portrayed by talented actress Xolile Tshabalala.
Medupe confirmed his relationship with Mthunzi on his Instagram account when he called her his wife.
