South Africans across the country are reeling over the passing of cystic fibrosis warrior Nompilo Dlamini who is famous for fighting the illness while inspiring social media users with her resilience. Over the last few years, a number of local celebrities stepped in to help Nompilo who was struggling to pay for some of the medication and health services that she needed.
One of those people is rapper Cassper Nyovest who in 2021 donated R150 000 towards the #SaveNompilo. He also got some of his industry friends to help too.
CASSPER PRAISED FOR HELPING NOMPILO
On October 31, Nompilo Dlamini lost her fight to cystic fibrosis after years of battling the illness and trying to secure funds to survive a little longer.
Nompilo is well known on social media as a strong young woman who chose to smile and be strong even though she was battling a life threatening illness.

Her vibrant personality and will to live got the attention of a number of local stars such as BI Phakathi and Somizi Mhlongo.
One star who was really moved by her story is Doc Shebeleza hitmaker Cassper Nyovest who jumped to action when he heard that she needed help getting a lung transplant.
“Your story touched me. You are such a positive soul. I will be rallying some of my friends and fans to help you get to India and hopefully we can get you a new set of lungs so you can live a long, lengthy life and inspire more people like you have inspired me. Stay strong,” tweeted Nyovest.
GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN
Many are now praising the rapper for taking the time to care about Nompilo.
“This is a Cassper Nyovest Appreciation Tweet. He was the only musician who donated R150k to Nompilo Dlamini and help her raise 2million to go to India to get a new lung Transplant,Hate him or Love him this guy has a heart of gold. We need many like him UBUNTU,” one person said and many others agreed.
