Actor Zola Hashatsi is heartbroken over Mpho Sebeng who died at the age of 30 years on Sunday morning, 5 May.
ZOLA HASHATSI PAYS TRIBUTE TO HIS FRIEND
The Rhythm City star Zola Hashatsi tells The Citizen that he was actor Mpho Sebeng’s older brother.
“This one hurts, and I’m not okay. It is a difficult time for the family right now. Of course, this is still fresh.”
Hashatsi adds that he would be assisting with media enquiries on behalf of the family and asked they be allowed space and time to mourn.
“They loved him very much and were proud of him. He was a great colleague. When he came to Craze I knew this was someone who was absolutely talented and never saw himself as above anyone else. He was great at what he did.”
“I was six years older than him. I was not only his friend, but I was also his older brother.”
The publication adds that Sebeng was travelling with another person when he passed away in the car accident on Sunday morning.
MPHO SEBENG: ‘BE KIND’

NETFLIX PAYS TRIBUTE
Netflix has paid tribute to actor Mpho Sebeng, who starred in Miseducation, Justice for All, The Brave One’s and many more shows.
“A life well lived. Rest in peace, Mpho Sebeng.”
EFF’s @MbuyiseniNdlozi took to social media on Sunday to bid farewell to the talented thespian.
“Truly sad to hear of the untimely passing of Mpho Sebeng. May the family be comforted. I’m lost for words,” said Ndlozi.
Muvhango star Florence Masebe also took to X to pay tribute to the 30-year-old actor and TV presenter.
@FloMasebe: “What a fine young man. What a talent. What a dedicated thespian. Sending love and prayers to the Sebeng family and all Mpho’s loved ones.”
