Soap star Ntando Duma didn’t quite get the reaction she probably would have expected after she cussed out a woman who confronted her for making use of a parking spot for disabled people.
Duma had gone on Instagram Live, where the encounter was captured. In the clip, which was recorded by a social media user, she can be seen arguing with someone about her parking spot.
At the start of the video, she asks, “So, what’s your problem? What’s your point?”
The woman, who remains unseen throughout the video says, “My point is you’re not allowed to park in there. There’s a ramp… there’s a sign there that says ‘Wheelchairs only’”
Duma then asks the woman, “Who says I’m not using a wheelchair?”
Well, we’re pretty certain if the star was in fact using a wheelchair, we’d know about it.
Well Twitter has been awash with reactions to Ntando Duma’s clip – and let’s just say that most of the tweeps are not impressed with The Queen actress.
“Finding a wheelchair parking occupied by an able-bodied person always inconveniences me as a wheelchair user. What Ntando Duma did is disrespectful and very rude,” one Twitter user said.
“Ntando Duma filmed herself being a villain and somehow thought she was being a hero so proud of her work she posted it online. Now we have to side with old white women. We are too sober for this please,” tweeted another.
One Twitter user even suggested that the star open up her wallet, as a way of apologising for her actions.
“Ntando Duma must apologise by donating R100 000 to charities that deal with disabled people. She must not bore us with a long statement of an apology. We need to start penalising South African celebrities for being cunts,” they said.
