After the tragic loss of a double murder in his family, singer Craig Lucas has managed to turn his tragedy into a triumph. The Cape Town singer – who won season two of The Voice SA – has graduated with a Masters in Development Studied from the University of the Western Cape (UWC).
In 2022, the award-winning star’s brother and sister-in-law were allegedly killed by their teenage son. Craig has also been open about his mental health struggles over the years.

The South African entertainment industry has woken up to the sad news of the untimely passing of popular DJ and MC, Mashata – real name – Peter Mabuse.
Mashata was shot and killed in a hail of bullets in Soshanguve, a township situated north-West of Pretoria.

South Africa’s veteran actor Chris April, Bra Spokes, passed away at 84 earlier this month. The SABC reports that the Mama Jack actor Chris April was murdered during a robbery at his home in Nyanga on the Cape Flats in February.A family spokesperson, Johnson Puza tells the publication that robberies broke into April’s home and attacked him. The 84-year-old actor recognised one of the suspects.Puza adds, “Thieves broke into his house where they caught him in his sleep. They took his items and when they were about to leave, he recognised one of them. Thus, they came back and injured him terribly. He was taken to Groote Schuur hospital, on the 6th of February until his passing at a different hospital, the Mitchell’s Plain district hospital on the 31st of March.”“Rest in power daddy Chris “Bra Spokes” April. He was a father, uncle, role model, legendary actor, music influencer, teacher. He was an inspiration to everybody that he came in contact with.
