She’s the next celeb to take the hot seat in the Showmax Roast of Minnie Dlamini, but the TV star has used the opportunity to grill her ex-husband, Quinton Jones.
In 2022, Minnie announced her separation from the TV producer. Since then, the former couple have made headlines over their custody battle and reports of spousal support.
The roast will air on Friday, 26 April on Showmax.
ROAST OF MINNIE DLAMINI: HOW TO WATCH
The Showmax Roast of Minnie Dlamini – not to be confused with the Comedy Central Roast – was recorded earlier this month at the Laugh Africa Comedy Festival in Sandton.
The episode will air on Showmax’s streaming platform on 26 April.
The guest panellist includes celebs like Celeste Ntuli, Lasizwe, Trevor Gumbi, and Robert Marawa, amongst others.
Stand-up comedians Jason Goliath and Tumi Morake will share the role of roastmaster.
Minnie said in a statement of the opportunity: “This is a moment for me to turn lemons into lemonade. This is a moment for me to see and hear a lot of the things that people have been saying about me [which were cruel and mean] and turn what was said into something light and fun.
“In addition to that, this is a celebration of myself and my career. So my roast will surely be a good day at the office – what a way to get paid!”

EX QUINTON JONES CATCHES STRAYS IN ROAST TRAILER
In a trailer released this week, Minnie Dlamini was seen cringing at a few shady swipes by the panellists, which included plenty of fat jokes, failed marriage quips, and low-blows about her “lack of” intelligence.
But Minnie was quick to throw shade, too. And in one scene, the 33-year-old mom of one showed her ex, Quinton Jones, flames.
She boldly says: “I’ve got one last thing to say. I’m not paying no f**king maintenance”.
Minnie is likely referring to a Sunday World report that she pays R10 000 in monthly spousal support cheques.
In other teasers, Minnie continues to poke fun at her ex-husband, who is referred to as “Mr Jones.”
COULD SHE BE GRILLED OVER THIS?
While we’ve only seen a sneak peek of what to expect, we’re sure Minnie Dlamini will likely catch heat over these headlines over the years…
Ex ‘It Girl status’
Minnie Dlamini has been roasted on social media for being nothing more than an ‘It Girl,’ who has now resorted to posting sexy selfies and clapbacks.
Khune’s R1 million lobola
Minnie and Kaizer Chief’s Itumeleng Khune dated from 2011 to 2014. According to the rumour mill, the soccer star paid a whopping R1 million in lobola for her, a claim she has since denied.
Long-standing feud with Bonang Matheba
Minnie Dlamini and Bonang have been long pitted as industry rivals and have even claimed to be “100% not friends”.
In 2015, Minnie told Grazia magazine of Bonang: “I want people to know that I don’t like talking about other personalities in the industry.
“That being said, Bonang and I are one hundred percent not friends. However, we’re not enemies either, and I respect her as a colleague”.
Rumoured relationship with Edwin Sodi
Celeb blogger Musa Khawula’s claims she had an alleged extramarital affair with businessman Edwin Sodi could be revisited in the roast of Minnie Dlamini.
Both Minnie and Edwin have denied the rumours.
