MAKING HEADLINES
In 2022, the two hogged headlines after Nonku Williams shared a photo with Nothile on her social media timeline. The Real Housewives of Durban star captioned the post, “Ok. I can’t tell. Who’s the mother between the two?”

However, Mzansi found the post problematic and dragged Nonku Williams on social media. Against the social media backlash, the two had an Instagram Live where they cleared the air. The reality star asked her daughter to describe her as a mother.

Nothile also opened up about how she felt about the social media backlash her mother received after sharing their photo. She revealed that she was not bothered by the backlash.

Nothile said, “I don’t feel pressured (to be part of the life), but I’m not a very social person who’s good at talking to people. However, I kind of feel uncomfortable because I’m talking to a lot of people.”

“It is like a lot of people watching. That’s one thing, but I don’t mind doing it because the comments were a bit too much. Like my mom always says to me, it doesn’t really affect me. I didn’t think about it until yesterday,” said Nothile.
