Is actor Lindani Nkosi leaving ‘My Brother’s Keeper’?

IS LINDANI NKOSI LEAVING?
The TVSA My Brother’s Keeper April teasers indicate that Lindani Nkosi may be leaving the show, and his character may die.

Thursday 25 April teaser reads: “Mshengu passes on the baton to Donga and shares with him his dying wish.”


 

Monday 29 April reveals that the Shabalala family will be shocked by Mshengu’s news.

Entertainment commentator Jabu Mcdonald also reports that talented may be leaving the hit telenovela.

“Season two will come with plot twists that will keep viewers glued to the screen. As the great Mshengu is finally arrested leaving the family torn apart by his evil deed.”

“This will force Donga to step in as the older brother to save the family, but will he succeed? Seems like Mshengu might die.”

This comes after media reports that Generations: The Legacy actor Muzi Mthabela has joined the show as Mshengu’s brother.

The Generations: The Legacy actor debuted on the SABC1 soapie on 6 December 2021 as Siphesihle Cele’s uncle, Nkosiyabo Cele.

It is unclear at this stage how long the talented actor will be on the Mzansi Magic telenovela or what his character’s name is.

‘MY BROTHER’S KEEPER’ SEASON TWO
The Rhythm World Production’s telenovela My Brother’s Keeper which stars Lindani Nkosi and Wiseman Mncube has been renewed for a second season.

The Broadcast Research Council of South Africa (BRCSA) February 2024 figures reveal that the telenovela was the fourth most-watched show on DStv.

The telenovela received 688 431 views in February compared to the January views of 763 825, when the show was fifth position.

The show’s viewers declined in March when it gained fifth position and received over 600 000 viewers in March.

The Mzansi Magic show stars actors Wiseman Mncube who plays Nqubeko Shabalala, and Zola Nombona who portrays Fakazile Shabalala.

Other leading stars include Sdumo Mtshali who plays Donga Shabalala and Lindani Nkosi who plays the patriarch of the Shabalala family, Mshengu.

Season two of the hit telenovela will begin on Monday, 22 April on Mzansi Magic, DStv (channel 161).
