Tinah Dlathu plays Sindi Dlathu’s younger character in ‘Queendom’

Talented actors Tinah Dlathu and Sindi Dlathu, who played Lindiwe and Khwezi in The River have secured roles in Queendom.


 

TINAH DLATHU AS YOUNGER VERSION OF SINDI DLATHU’S CHARACTER
Entertainment commentator Jabu Mcdonald reports that actress Tinah will play the younger version of Sindi Dlathu’s character in Queendom.

“Tinah Dlathu will be playing the younger version of Sindi Dlathu’s character (Tholakele Mthombeni) on #BETQueenDom. Premieres 22 April on BET at 18:30 and repeats at 21:30,” says Mcdonald.

The rising star Tinah Dlathu portrayed the character of Khwezi Hlophe in the 1Magic canned telenovela.

Tina will join former Isibaya stars Pallance Dladla and Linda Mtoba who play Prince Mcebo Khahlamba and Nthandokayise Mthombeni.

Sunday World reveals that Mtoba’s character, Nthandokayise Mthombeni is Sindi Dlathu’s on-screen daughter in the upcoming BET_Africa’s telenovela.

Queendom tells the story of Nthandokayise Mthombeni portrayed by Mtoba, a maverick community leader in Tsakane. She discovers that she’s the rightful heir to the throne of Khahlamba Kingdom.

Her mother, Tholakele Mthombeni, played by Dlathu, has been keeping this secret from her for 30 years.

“Ntando is not just a character; she’s a symbol of the strength all African women possess. In her story, we witness the collision of two worlds, the power of destiny, and the rise of a queen. I can’t wait for viewers to embark on this journey with us.”

IOL reports that Queendom explores themes of cultural heritage, tradition, fate, ancestry, power struggles, identity and survival.

The show will bring South African acting royalty to TV screens with a distinguished cast. It also stars actors Hamilton Dlamini as King Banzi Khahlamba, Mduduzi Mabaso as Prince Andile Khahlamb, Dawn Thandeka King as Queen MaNdlovu and many more.

Musician and actor, Jabulani Hadebe known as Sjava will portray the role of Prince Mkhuseli Khahlamba, the first-born son of King Banzi.
