Kabza De Small is trending against the backdrop of his set with Black Coffee at Konka. The two had a set together, and Mzansi quickly gave a stamp of approval.
With a career spanning years, DJ Black Coffee has quickly become one of the most sought-after DJs in the world.
DJ BLACK COFFEE AND KABZA DE SMALL PERFORM TOGETHER AT KONKA
DJ Black Coffee has headlined several shows across the globe and has made Europe his playground. Over the years, he has been credited for thrusting several DJs into the international limelight, including DJ Euphonik and DJ Shimza.
Is Kabza De Small next in line? Taking to X, formerly Twitter, MDN News shared a clip of DJ Black Coffee and Kabza De Small’s set. The blog captioned the post, “Black Coffee x Kabza De Small on the decks at KONKA.”
Against the trends, several clips of their set have gained thousands of comments and reactions. This was one of Konka’s biggest gigs before its closure. The joint announced earlier this year that it will close down Konka Soweto with a new venue yet to be revealed.
However, this is not the first time the two have hogged headlines. In 2020, Kabza De Small hogged headlines when his video seemingly jesting DJ Black Coffee’s set made the rounds on social media. Fans were more than convinced he was mocking the DJ Black Coffee, while others defended him.
The incident happened a few months after DJ Black Coffee praised Kabza De Small. DJ Black Coffee shared a photo with Kabza on social media and captioned it, “Finally Met The King Tonight.” No doubt there is no bad blood between the two, as alleged by the media.
RUMOURED FALLOUT WITH DJ MAPHORISA
However, against the set’s backdrop, fans were quick to implicate DJ Maphorisa into the mix. Reports had it that Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa had a fallout earlier this year.
The alleged fallout came in the backdrop of DJ Maphorisa’s Instagram Live sessions. He seemingly took a swipe at Kabza De Small. The muso claimed to have thrust Kabza De Small into the limelight. Rumour mill has it that Kabza De Small was not ok with the social media rants.
However, against their rumoured fallout, the two have been performing separately. They have since directed their bookings to their record labels, Piano Hub and Blaqboy Music.
