Gogo Skhotheni and husband Monde Shange have rekindled their love

Popular sangoma Gogo Skhotheni, real name Tumi Motsoeneng, has revealed that she and her husband, Monde Shange, are back together.

In January this year, the former Izangoma Zodumo star – who is also a DJ – revealed on her Instagram stories that it had been six months since their split.

“I’ve been single for six months and people think I am in a relationship. Maybe it is because my breakup with my ex was a mature one,” she wrote.

At the time, Skhotheni explained that she and Shange are only ever seen together because of their children.

“Whenever we are seen together it is because of our kids or business but besides anything, we are no longer together.

“It has been a while that we even unfollowed each other on social media platforms. We officially broke up six months ago,” she added.

‘WE NEARLY FILED FOR DIVORCE’

However, in a recent interview with TshisaLIVE, Skhotheni revealed that she and Shange have worked on their differences and are back together.

“I’ve been on a very dark journey with myself, questioning a lot of things that were happening, especially with my son’s condition, my son being sick. My relationship with my husband was tempted a lot. We nearly filed for divorce but God carried us through it. It hasn’t been easy,” she said.

The couple’s son has been in an intensive care unit for a year and eight months.

POLYANDRY
Shange is not the only man whom Skhotheni has married. In 2022, she revealed that she had taken a second husband, named Sibusiso, who lived separately from Shange. At the time, Skhotheni – who said she was instructed by her ancestors to marry a second man – explained that she sees her husbands according to a schedule they put together.

During her interview on Nkululeko n Cultr, however, Skhotheni said while she liked the idea of having more than one partner, Shange did not approve of it.

“It was a fun experience. If my husband would allow me to have a second husband, I think I would. It was fun seeing him get angry because I hardly do anything to my husband. My husband and I have never fought about mjolo (dating); we fight about serious stuff. So seeing him when I approached him about a second husband with him getting angry was a turn-on,” she said.

“It would be a nice experience, but no, there’s no second husband.”
