‘EVEN THOSE EARS’: NETIZENS REACT TO PHOTO OF AKA’S LOOKALIKE
Beloved rapper AKA was shot and killed on 10 February in Durban last year. He died alongside his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane. Several suspects including two others who have yet to be extradited from Eswatini were arrested and detained in connection to the duo’s murders.
The suspects are facing several charges including two counts of murder, attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, possession of unlawful firearms and possession of unlawful ammunition.
Recently, a photo of AKA’s lookalike went viral on X. The picture had social media users and the rapper’s fans in their feelings. Netizens couldn’t help but admit that the mysterious man reminded them of AKA.
The rapper’s lookalike was spotted at what appeared to be a church event. In the photo, the mysterious man can be seen with a fade, beard, and dressed in a stylish white suit. His complexion also looked quite similar to that of AKA’s. Netizens pinpointed several other features similar to those of the late rapper.
THE LATEST WITH THE MURDER CASE
One of the suspects in AKA Forbes and Tibz Motsoane’s murder case, Lindokuhle Mkhwanazi was recently reported to have told the Durban Magistrate’s Court that he intends to lay a charge of perjury against the investigating officer, Detective Bob Pillay, SABC reported.
According to the publication, Mkhwanazi claims Pillay has misled the court by falsely linking him to this case. The suspect reportedly said that he was supposed to meet a woman for a date at Wish restaurant on Florida Road on the day of the murder, but his date never pitched, SowetanLIVE reported.
The murder case is expected to continue on 8 April for the defence to continue with its reply affidavits, Sunday World reported.
