A look into Basetsana Kumalo’s 50th birthday party

Mzansi television personality, beauty pageant titleholder, businesswoman, and philanthropist, Basetsana Kumalo celebrated her 50th birthday in style with three-day festivities over the Easter weekend. The jubilee celebration comes just days after the former Miss South Africa and her husband Romeo Kumalo attended the sentencing of Jackie Phamotse in their defamation case.

On Friday, 29 March, Basetsana Kumalo turned 50 years old.

She shared in an Instagram post: “It was God ordained and anointed that I turn fifty on Good Friday.
“I am one highly favoured woman. On this Jubilee year, marking half a century, I thank the Lord who has carried me through the years. I am who I am because greater is He that is in me than the one that is in the world”.

According to the Sunday Times, the media mogul invited VIP guests to attend her “golden jubilee” celebration in Cape Town over the Easter weekend.

The three-day itinerary kicked off with a dinner-themed “Boogie Wonderland” at the Pigalle restaurant on Friday evening.

The next day, guests were treated to a lavish party called “The Gratitude Banquet and Birthday Celebration” at Tokai’s sprawling Norval Foundation.
