Kope Makgae exits Generations:The Legacy to join etv soap

Famous actor and businessman Kope Makgae has joined the star-studded cast of the TVdrama series “Isiphetho: The Destiny.”

It has been about hitting new milestones for some of Mzansi’s biggest celebs this year. The forthcoming etv drama series, “Isiphetho: The Destiny,” produced by Black Brain Pictures, is set to be an entertaining new show.


 

Mzansi is already excited. The talented Kope Makgae took to social media and celebrated being cast as a lead in the series. He wrote, “God is Good all the time….and all the time.”Directed by Mandla N, Makgae plays the role of Mosa in the series. He shared a video of himself on set with his fellow cast members, and they seemed to be having a great time filming.

The popular actor will star alongside acclaimed actress Linda Sokhulu, former “The Wife” star Mbalenhle Mavimbela and the iconic Thulani Mtsweni.
According to reports, the new show, “Isiphetho: The Destiny,” will replace the former TV drama “Nikiwe” in its previous time slot of 18:30 on April 22, 2024. The announcement was made by e.tv on X.

According to close sources, Generations Legacy is sad to confirm the exit of Kope Makgae, who has played the role of Murekza since 2016. After six years of acting in a lead role on South Africa‘s most watched television drama, Uzalo, Baby Cele is bowing out after seven years on the show. The celebrated actress joined the popular drama in 2017, portraying the character of Gabisile Mdletshe.


 

 

 

The 10th season of ‘Uzalo’ is coming with a number of changes, including new faces joining and some fan favourites saying goodbye to the SABC1 drama.Cele previously left the show in 2021, but she was brought back to her much-loved character after a well-deserved break. But things are different now; she is set to leave for good.

“I have played Gabisile for so many years, she became part of my life, so leaving feels like I have lost a part of me.Uzalo was and will forever be my home, I was loved in the production, I had family, I was respected and we worked well together, I had family, I was respected and we worked well together,” said the actress.Cele told IOL that it was her decision to leave ‘Uzalo’, emphasising that it was not for “negative reasons, but it was time”.I joined the show in October 2017, and ever since I have portrayed the character of Gabisile, I have enjoyed it. Sebase Mogale and wife arre sted for fraud

Skeem Saam actor Sebase Mogale and his wife Dorah were taken into custody after it was alleged that they set up a Bitcoin scam and defrauded individuals of a significant amount of money.


 

The former Thobela FM host was fired from the air in 2022 following an exposé by Carte Blanche that claimed Mogale was involved in a bitcoin scam.According to the Limpopo Chronical and Jacaranda FM, Mogale and his wife appeared in Polokwane Magistrates Court on Friday, March 15, where they were accused of fraud.

It is alleged the actor used his SABC radio show to lure people into investing in his which was called Mining City.The scam was run in 2020 and promised high returns, which attracted unsuspecting victims into depositing varying amounts of money, some as high as R250,000.Limpopo police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba said there were more than 10 cases filed against Mogale and his wife, who reportedly told people who attempted to withdraw money from their investments that the scheme had collapsed due to the inflation rate.

“People were willing to invest because it was a popular radio presenter who was calling people to invest.

Victims deposited money into an account belonging to the Altcoin trader, buying the so-called “mining packages” which ranged from R6 500 to R 253 000.

The problem started when the victims tried to withdraw their money. That’s when they realised that the details given to them were blocked.

When victims questioned Sebasa Mogale telephonically about their investment, he told them that the Mining City Scam had collapsed due to the inflation rate. It meant that said investors had lost their money in th

Victims went back to the office; unfortunately, they found that the office was closed and his phone was on voice mail.”

Sebase Mogale and his wife were set free on bail on a R10,000 for each, and they are scheduled to appear in court again on May 20.It’s anticipated that both of them will face more charges.
