Sicelo Buthelezi is an award-winning South African actor best known for his role as Teddy on Mzansi Magic’s soap opera, Gomora. He gains following with his character as Teddy on the cancelled soap Gomora.

 

According to @PhilMphela, the actor has joined the educational SABC 1 show Skeem Saam, portraying the character of Tobias.He will make his debut on April 2, 2024.Tobias is a university student with a mischievous streak who gets expelled and is forced to move to Turfloop after causing some serious trouble back in Johannesburg.

Sicelo Buthelezi joins Skeem Saam, he is set to play the role of ‘Tobias (Toby) Maswahla’. ‘Toby’ is a university student with a mischievous streak who gets expelled and is forced to move to Turfloop after causing some serious trouble back in Johannesburg. He will make his debut on the 2nd April 2024.

“Having joined the Skeem Saam family has been amazing. It’s a different environment but it feels like home. I’m enjoying it,” Sicelo said.

Buthelezi first graced our screens in 2018, when he played a lead role in a film titled The Cleaner, which was part of the SABC 1 documentary show, Now or Never. Buthelezi was a fan favourite on Mzansi Magic’s television drama series, Gomora, as Teddy

Sicelo received the Outstanding Newcomer Award at the 4th Royalty Soapie Awards in 2020.During his course at The Market Theatre, he was cast in multiple productions such as Words Fail, HANI: THE LEGACY, and Babylon: Beyond Borders, which was live-streamed across four stages.

Sicelo is also pursuing his music career and developing as a prominent artist.Harare’s most famous song attracted so much attention and gave birth to the popular Harare challenge.
