Veteran actor Mme Florence Masebe has joined the popular SABC 1 educational soap opera Skeem Saam. She will temporarily replace the character of Meikie, which was portrayed by Harriet Manamela and will be replaced until the end of season 12.

The character of Meikie is to be temporarily replaced due to unforeseen circumstances, according to inside sources.The decision came about after Harriet Manamela needed to be placed on sick leave for an extended period of time. Manamela’s last scene for the season will air on April 5, 2024.From May 15th, 2024, the character of Meikie Maputla will be played by Florence Masebe.
