No apology: Drama between Nonku and ex-boyfriend RD intensifies

Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) star Nonku Williams has reportedly not apologised to her ex-boyfriend Rough Diamond or RD (real name Dumisani Ndlazi) after accusing him of swindling her.

According to ZiMoja, the businesswoman responded to RD’s letter of demand with her own letter of demand.


 

 

 

RD’s legal representative, Sabelo Khubisa of Khubisa Attorneys, told the publication that Nonku missed her deadline to issue an apology to his client, which was set for 8 March 2024 at 16:00.

“She did not apologise, instead her lawyers sent us a letter with demands,” Khubisa was quoted as saying.

NONKU’S ALLEGATIONS AGAINST RD
The legal battle between the two ex-lovers came after Nonku accused RD of scamming her. During the second episode of the fourth season of the Showmax reality series, the construction magnet told her sister that the controversial businessman stole material from her company.

“He actually ended up stealing, by the way,” Nonku told her sister on the show.

“That man scammed me!” Nonku continued. “He stole material from the site worth R300 000.”

She further alleged that she was under a spell during their relationship.

“Can I tell you every single time we were together I was drunk?. I just thank God I was able to escape that nightmare.”

LETTER OF DEMAND
In the letter of demand shared on his social media acconts, RD alleged that Nonku had financial problems in her business when they met in 2022. He added that this was when they formed a partnership in order for him to assist her financially.

“You accused our client of stealing materials from your company worth R300 000 and this was done in a TV and various social media. You made such allegations knowing very well that they are untruthful and unlawful but continued to publish it with the sole intention of causing damage to our client’s reputation and dignity, ” read the letter.

RD further In fact, claimed that Nonku is broke and is pretending to be living an opulent lifestyle.

“It is our instructions that these allegations levelled against our client were made in an effort to damage the good name of client in both his personal and professional capacity.

“In the light of the above we hereby demand that you immediately retract and remove all social media posts and/ or pages on social media platforms containing any false and defamatory information or misrepresentations such as those explained in the letter,” the letter continued.

According to the letter, failure to apologise will lead RD’s lawyers taking further legal action against Nonku.
