Afrotainment boss DJ Tira is in search of his car keys after forgetting them inside an Uber from the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg earlier this month.
In a Facebook post, the Thank You Mr DJ hitmaker asked for his Uber driver to reach out to him. The musician said he would reward e-hailing service driver if he returned the keys to his Mercedes G-Wagon. Tira first said that he had been trying to report the incident on the Uber app but did not get the help he needed.
“I forgot my Mercedes G Wagon key in an Uber on Saturday 2 March, can the driver that took me to OR Tambo bring back my key ngizomnika [I will give him] R5000. I have been trying to report on the app hhayi kuyabheda!!! [its not working out] Ngisizeni bo! [Please help me],” he wrote.
Speaking to ZiMoja, Tira again pleaded with the driver.
“The driver should know that I am not blaming him, it’s all my fault. I was careless. All I need is for him to reach out and give me the key back. I would really appreciate it and reward him,” he said.
He further revealed that getting a new car keys could cost him R12 000. Tira said ever since losing the keys he is scared that it might end in the wrong hands.
