Indeed, it’s completely different routes for Connie and Nomzamo Mbatha to get these prestigious Forbes Woman Awards. Connie is a veteran actress with decades of years in the business since her days with Generations.
Since her days with Generations, she has been in several top dramas like The Queen, Kings of Joburg, The Wild and many others. Conversely, Nomzamo is a younger actress of 33 years and has been in the business since 2013, when she joined Isibaya.
She, however, saw a fast rise, being featured in some of the country’s top drama series like Holiday Swap, The Queen and Shaka iLembe. Besides her recent award, Nomzamo previously won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress. This was a nomination for playing “Moratiwa” in Tell Me Sweet Something in 2015.
She also won the Forbes Africa 30 under 30 in 2018, making her recent award the second under Forbes.
