Clement Maosa’s life story and educational qualifications

Skeem Saam’s Zamokuhle Clement Maosa has become one of South Africa’s most beloved television characters over the past ten years.

At the age of 23, the 35-year-old actor joined the SABC 1 series when it first aired in South Africa in October 2011, and he has evolved into one of its most essential characters.

Most South African actors appear on film during their adolescence, thus, most people would wonder why Clement Maosa made his first TV appearance at an age older than Mzansi’s acting standard. The major reason was that he was in school, working on his academic credentials.Skeem Saam’s Zamokuhle has always liked acting since he was a child. However, his parents did not feel that this goal could provide him with a suitable life at the time.

I started acting when I was very, very young and growing up I always knew it’s a calling. Though nobody believed in me‚ even parents forced me to study law‚ I never gave up on the dream.

Zamokuhle obtained an LLB from the University of Limpopo after studying law. Life was hard, and he had to suffer the agony of poverty simply to make a living.Clement revealed that in university, he usually survived on R2 noodles as money was hard to come by, as reported by Savanna News. In college, he was once Mr University of Limpopo finalist.

He returned to acting because he had fulfilled his parents’ intention for him to be educated, and he had a strong desire to do so.His enthusiasm could not provide him with a satisfactory monetary return since he could not obtain appropriate positions. After several fruitless stints, Skeem Saam’s Zamokuhle opted to work at a legal company because he already possessed the necessary qualifications. When it was dry in the industry I tried working in the legal field but only lasted three months. Then left and came back because you can’t run away from your calling.

How he got the Skeem Saam role is a perfect example of stars aligning. Clement Maosa responded to the series’ advertisement for auditions, and Skeem Saam called him.He then told the casting director that he did not have a transport fee. The casting director insisted he come, and he had to borrow R350.

Skeem Saam’s Zamokuhle refined his audition to perfection, and his life has never been the same after that day. When he finished his academics, he went to social media and paid homeage to the woman who raised him after he became an orphan. He wrote:

“At the age of 21, I obtained my LLB degree and immediately got my first TV break, and since then I have never looked back. Through all this, here is the Queen who gave me and my siblings the greatest love a human can ask for after both my parents passed on.” This is an amazing story! 😍❤😢
