It was a great day for South Africa on Sunday 5 February after local musician Tyla Seethal bagged herself a Grammy at this year’s award ceremony. Many local stars also got to tick visiting the glamorous Hollywood event off their bucket lists, Boity Thulo being one of them. The actress turned reality TV star and rapper looked stunning in a figure-hugging white two-piece which she paired with a slick back ponytail.

Unfortunately, her appearance didn’t save her from an awkward red carpet moment which saw her getting shoved out of the way by Ice Spice and her entourage.

Netflix announced a slate of new content from South Africa over the weekend, including the fourth season of its hit series “Blood & Water.”As theGrio previously reported, the African series first debuted on Netflix in 2020, hailing from Nosipho Dumisa, one of South Africa’s most prominent directors. The series follows teen student Puleng Khumalo, who tries to unravel various mysteries, including the background of her sister, who was abducted at birth.
