This past weekend marked one year since AKAs last album, Mass Country, was released.
To celebrate this special occasion, AKAs team has announced that the album has surpassed over 99 million streams in the past twelve months—a remarkable achievement that only a few albums can boast.
“Mega numbers for the Megacy! Thank you to the Megacy for getting Mass Country this far one year later. The album has achieved over 99million streams. Megacy over everything, take a bow! Thank you to everyone involved in the project from producers to featured artists.”“I’m taking more time with the sound and just trying to come up with something new. I call it Mass Country because I wanted to touch on Mass Country like Maskandi. That’s kind of like the play on it,” he told Slikour On Life.
“It’s also to a nod on like there is also going to be traditional sounds on there. But also laced with pop and a bit of Kwaito influence. Hip Hop, you know how it goes. I’m going to put that all in the pot. And we are going to come up with something magic.”
