Not for the first time, Nandipha Magudumana – Thabo Bester’s alleged partner in crime – has been accused of putting on an act after images of her reading her Bible in court went viral.

According to the “court of public opinion,” the celebrity doctor – who faces charges of assisting an escape, fraud, corruption, and violating bodies – has attempted to play on the court’s sympathies.

Thabo and Nandipha – who was previously denied bail – alongside seven others, will return to court on 5 June 2024 for a pre-trial conference.

 

NANDIPHA READS BIBLE DURING COURT APPEARANCE
On Wednesday, 21 February, Nandipha Magudumana and Thabo Bester made their first court appearance in 2024 at the Free State High Court.

But while court spectators expected a romantic reunion between Bester and Magudumana, they were instead met by a frosty reception. The 35-year-old doctor completely shunned her alleged lover, whom she is accused of helping escape prison in 2022.

Instead, she chose to read her Bible in silence.

Nandipha has previously made headlines for portraying herself as sad and helpless during her court appearances.

In August, the mom-of-two was in tears when her attorney claimed that Thabo Bester had “forced” her to skip the country with her.

She’s also given the impression that she is a respectable mother and married woman. The glamorous aesthetician has repeatedly worn her flashy diamond wedding ring during appearances. She was also spotted praying and singing whilst in the dock.
