Black Motion was one of Mzansi’s biggest musical stars, it consisted of Murdah Bongz and Thabo Smol, and their split came as a shock to many who wondered why they would break up a group that was doing so well in the music scene.

And now, Thabo who recently visited Podcast and Chill has come out to clear the air on the split he insists was not caused by Zinhle. He also shared how he believes that Black Motion will one day reunite.

Many were left shocked when music duo Black Motion announced that they were splitting. The dynamic group consisted of Murdah Bongz (Robert Mahosana) and Thabo Mabogwane.

The multi-award-winning duo are famous for songs such as Joy Joy and Uwrongo.

In 2022, rumours that the pair were splitting up proved to be true after Murdah shared court documents regarding a feud over studio equipment with Thabo.

Some fans speculated that Murdah Bongz’s blossoming romance with fellow musician Zinhle Jiyane may have caused troubles within Black Motion.

And now during an interview with MacG and Sol Phenduka on Podcast and Chill, Thabo shared that Zinhle was in fact not the cause of the split.

Also according to him, he and Murdah might reunite in the future.
