It was a great day for South Africa on Sunday 5 February after local musician Tyla Seethal bagged herself a Grammy at this year’s award ceremony. Many local stars also got to tick visiting the glamorous Hollywood event off their bucket lists, Boity Thulo being one of them. The actress turned reality TV star and rapper looked stunning in a figure-hugging white two-piece which she paired with a slick back ponytail.

Unfortunately, her appearance didn’t save her from an awkward red carpet moment which saw her getting shoved out of the way by Ice Spice and her entourage.

 

 

 

After getting trolled, the star still headed online to share the snaps she managed to take with the Barbie World rapper.

It was a weekend full of glitz and glam for a number of local celebs who were lucky enough to attend this years instalment of the Grammy Awards.

Kefilwe Mabote, Anele Mdoda, Sizwe Dhlomo, and Nomzamo Mbatha all put on their red carpet best and headed over to the 66th Grammy Awards which took place at Los Angeles’s Crypto Arena.

Another local star who attended the festivities is media personality Boity Thulo. Videos of her awkwardly trying to navigate the star-studded red carpet quickly hit the internet.

Soon she was being trolled by app users who called the entire thing cringe.

In what appears to be an attempt to make up for it, she shared various photos of herself on the red carpet with a number of stars including Ice Spice.
