SPEEDY RECOVERY! FANS WISH JESSE KRIEL WELL POST OPERATION
South Africa centre Jesse Kriel is said to have recently undergone surgery for an ongoing “thumb” issue, Rugby Pass reported. The 29-year-old rugby star was also said to have previously announced that he would be off the rugby field for some time to undergo the operation.

“I’ve been struggling with my thumb. I need to go get [it] repaired. I have to have a surgery so I will be away for a while… Hopefully I won’t miss too many games and I will be back for the end of the season for a few games. So, I will do my best to recover as fast as possible.” Kriel was quoted as saying.

In March 2019, SA Rugby Mag reported that Kriel had signing with the Canon Eagles in Japan and was set to leave the Vodacom Bulls. At the time, Kriel reportedly said he hoped to “make many more great memories on and off the field in Japan”.
